Hello, I am Kara Williams and I am a Travel Coach and Visual Communicator.
I have been working since I was 13 and paying for amazing adventures since I was 16. I’ve never wanted to take life for granted; it’s too unpredictable and has a very real end. I feel most alive when exploring and taking time to appreciate the world around me. I always have a budget line item for adventure. That way, whenever an opportunity presents itself, I can say yes. Or once I have enough money saved and time in my job where I can take a couple extra days off, I’m able to take a trip.
When I say amazing adventure, I mean disrupting your routine and doing something fun: like moving to a new state and deciding on a whim to go on a 3 day camping road trip where you sleep with wild buffalo, see Mount Rushmore and spelunk through wind caves.
When I say opportunities presenting themselves, I mean seeing a possibility and figuring out how to make it work: like being full remote (due to pandemic) and your partner being laid off so you pack up all your stuff and put it in storage and you plan “mini-lives” in a new place each month for 6 months.
When I say having time in my job, I mean using days off and work lull times to your advantage: like after working 16 weddings in a summer and you have a weekend without a wedding, might as well take some extra days off so you can fly to Paris with your new beau to see if you communicate and travel together well enough for a serious future.
Life is hard. Travel is no different. Life has moments of immense pleasure and so does travel. Life is BUSY! And travel takes up lots of resources; time, energy, and money. Which tends to build up pressure on planning a trip. But I love traveling as a way to get away from the pressure of life and have Fun. I enjoy Learning about myself, about others, and about the global world. I feel myself Opening up to new adventures and new ways of thinking. I experience Wow moments that rejuvenate my soul, deepen my connection with our natural planet and humanity, and strengthen my sense that I am a small part of something SO MUCH BIGGER. My aim with coaching is to help you find your FLOW and be intentional and realistic about planning a trip that suits your needs and works with your resources.
