Kendyl grew up in a family that considered travel "for rich people." Until she studied abroad in 2013, she had no idea how small her world literally was. Making just $34,000 a year out of graduate school, she made a commitment to see as much of the world as possible. She was broke and had no idea how I was going to do it.
Since then she's become a pretty savvy budget travel hacker, traveling to 23 countries and 36 US states with her husband, Aspen, for less than $36,000 over the past 6 years. She's not a nomad, a vagabond or a backpacker circumnavigating the globe. And though she does only travel with her backpack, she prefers hotels to hostels and trains to hitchhikes. She just does it at a fraction of the cost.
Now she shares her budget travel hacking knowledge to help others save money and travel more, breaking down the same misconceptions she once had about her own inability to afford to travel.
